Ron Bailey has always had a big heart for children. When he learned about Bethel, Ron took a tour of campus, and his passion for the ministry was sparked. His goal was to bring community to campus to see the impact that was being made in children’s lives. As the creator of the Bethel 5K Community Run in 2012, now known as the Superheroes Run For Hope, Ron’s goal has been successful with Bethel holding the largest race yet in the Fall of 2023.
Through the years, Ron has continued to volunteer and attend Bethel events. Now serving as the Chairman of the Board, Ron has expanded the vision for Bethel Bible Village and the impact the ministry can have in the community. “Our vision is addressing how we can serve more children,” Ron explained.
Ron attributes the success of Bethel to a group effort of the community and to God. “You realize that it takes everybody, and the Lord always provides needs,” Ron said. When sharing his motivation to support Bethel through the years, Ron’s answer was easy. “I want to be a part of something bigger than myself. My favorite part is when I spend time with the kids. That reminds me of why I do what I do.”
