Position

Bethel Bible Village has a new opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Professional. The position of Director of Human Resources is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources function.

Qualifications

  • Spiritual: Be an active participating member in a local Christian church. In accordance with the Mission of Bethel Bible Village, will share the gospel with children in our care, as well as their families, to help them know and respond to the love of God in Christ.
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required; 5+ years’ experience in human resources required. Payroll experience is a plus. Non-profit experience is a plus.
  • Specific Skills/Requirements: Possesses knowledge and experience in human resources and personnel administration. Effective verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and previous computer experience required. Must have the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and manage multiple projects.
  • Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Considerable knowledge and understanding of the Human Resources function. Human Resources certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This job operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment. Position

Bethel Bible Village has a new opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant. This role provides high-level administrative support to the ministry, President/CEO, Board of Directors, and other staff with major functions including organization, correspondence, and other operational duties within the office. Also serves as our volunteer coordinator.

Qualifications

  • Spiritual: Living a vibrant Christian faith and active in a local Bible-believing church.
  • Education: Related bachelor’s degree.
  • Specific Skills: 2-4 years working in an administrative role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality. House Parent (Couple) – Full Time

Position

We are currently seeking a Christian married couple to serve as full-time missionaries in a cottage of up to eight school-aged young people.  This is a live-in position that we are seeking to fill. Bethel provides an on-campus apartment, food, and other benefits as a part of the overall compensation package!

This position provides authority and leadership of the living unit.  House Parents provide supervision of the children and home, contributing to a relaxed atmosphere in the home, and supporting the educational development of the youth. The position is also responsible for providing spiritual leadership, a positive social and moral example, encouraging the physical and social development of the youth, and contributing to the youths’ all-around progress toward their individual goals.

Qualifications

  • Spiritual: Living a vibrant Christian faith and active in a local Bible-believing church.
  • Education: High school diplomas or equivalent; college degrees preferred
  • Specific Skills: Minimum one year of youth-related experience – educating, coaching, or working with school-age children.  Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required; computer skills are preferred.
  • License: Valid driver’s licenses
  • Other Requirements: Couple must be married for at least 2 years with no more than two dependent children.  Because of the live-in nature of the position, no more than two dogs are permitted and they must live outside.  Minimum age requirement for this position is 21 years of age.  Applicants must be lawfully authorized to work in the U.S., and successfully pass background checks, drug screens, and physicals.

This is an excellent opportunity to take business experience in retail, business development, and relationship building and use it for a greater purpose.  Additional experience with a nonprofit is helpful, whether as an employee or if you have volunteered in a leadership role.

Qualifications

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position, with a schedule that supports the hours of the Bethel Thrift Stores which are Monday – Saturday from 9 AM until 8 PM.  The Manager generally works 9 AM to 6 PM with at least one closing shift per week and one Saturday per month. Flexibility is required.

Science Teacher – Part-Time

Bethel Christian Academy (BCA) is a small, private Christian college preparatory school, that provides a smaller classroom environment for students who have fallen behind and may need smaller classes. We serve 7 – 12 grade students who live at Bethel Bible Village as well as day students who live in the community.

Position

We are currently seeking a part-time High School Science Teacher to work 20-24 hours per week for the 2022-2023 academic year. Coaching experience is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Spiritual: Living a vibrant Christian faith and active in a local bible believing church.
  • Education: Related bachelor’s degree required.
  • Specific Skills: Experience working with youth who may have academic and behavioral concerns preferred. Excellent classroom management skills are required. Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and previous computer experience are required.
  • License: Current license or preparation to obtain a license in TN required. Must have a valid driver’s license.
