Position

We are currently seeking a Christian married couple to serve as full-time missionaries in a cottage of up to eight school-aged young people.  This is a live-in position that we are seeking to fill. Bethel provides an on-campus apartment, food, and other benefits as a part of the overall compensation package!

This position provides authority and leadership of the living unit.  House Parents provide supervision of the children and home, contributing to a relaxed atmosphere in the home, and supporting the educational development of the youth. The position is also responsible for providing spiritual leadership, a positive social and moral example, encouraging the physical and social development of the youth, and contributing to the youths’ all-around progress toward their individual goals.

Qualifications

  • Spiritual: Living a vibrant Christian faith and active in a local Bible-believing church.
  • Education: High school diplomas or equivalent; college degrees preferred
  • Specific Skills: Minimum one year of youth-related experience – educating, coaching, or working with school-age children.  Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required; computer skills are preferred.
  • License: Valid driver’s licenses
  • Other Requirements: Couple must be married for at least 2 years with no more than two dependent children.  Because of the live-in nature of the position, no more than two dogs are permitted and they must live outside.  Minimum age requirement for this position is 21 years of age.  Applicants must be lawfully authorized to work in the U.S., and successfully pass background checks, drug screens, and physicals.

Literacy Interventionist – Part-Time

Bethel Christian Academy (BCA) is a small, private Christian college preparatory school, that provides a smaller classroom environment for students who have fallen behind and may need smaller classes. We serve 7 – 12 grade students who live at Bethel Bible Village as well as day students who live in the community.

Position

We are currently seeking a Literacy Interventionist for the 2022-2023 academic year. The Literacy Interventionist is responsible for supporting achievement in the core academic areas (English, Math, Science, and Social Studies), especially in the areas of reading, comprehension, vocabulary, and writing. The Interventionist provides individual or small group instruction to students who are struggling academically.

Qualifications:

  • Spiritual: Living a vibrant Christian faith and active in a local Bible-believing church.
  • Education: Related bachelor’s degree required. Literacy Intervention experience is a plus.
  • Specific Skills: Experience working with youth who may have academic and behavioral concerns preferred. Excellent classroom management skills are required. Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and previous computer experience are required.
  • License: Current license or preparation to obtain a license in TN required. Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Physical Requirements: This job operates in a professional school environment using standard office equipment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:
  • Stand; walk; sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms; balance; talk or hear.

Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of Bethel Bible Village’s physical plant facilities and related campus buildings and equipment.  Procurement and control of maintenance and construction supplies and vehicle maintenance are included.

Qualifications:

  • Spiritual: Be an active participating Christian in a local congregation
  • Education: High school diploma and/or trade certifications.
  • Specific Skills: HVAC knowledge including troubleshooting repairs, maintenance, and operation. Basic skills and knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. Knowledge of general maintenance and repairs. Basic computer skills. Ability to use power tools.
  • License: Must have a valid driver’s license.

      Discipleship and Activities Coordinator – Full Time 

      Bethel Christian Academy is a faith-based Christian organization for students who may thrive in a smaller school environment. We are seeking a Discipleship and Activities Coordinator who will be responsible for the planning and execution of year-round activities for students, coordinating with church groups and other volunteers that desire to lead or sponsor activities. They will coordinate and lead these activities along with the appropriate staff members in support.

      Basic Job Description: This position will work directly with students and adults on campus as well as local churches and ministries. Candidate must have the ability to perform the following tasks and skills, plus more!

      • Facilitate all campus outdoor and indoor recreational activities.
      • Coordinating events.
      • Excellent communication skills.
      • Coordinates and leads bible studies as well as be a liaison for church groups.

      Qualifications:

      • Spiritual: Be an active participating Christian in a local congregation.
      • Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in the recreation/activities field. First Aid/CPR training (provided).
      • Specific Skills/Requirements: Possesses outstanding communication skills (written and oral). Should have excellent organizational skills, teachable spirit, and a cooperative, pleasant attitude. Preferred experience leading recreational events and activities for children and adolescents who have experienced trauma and may have some behavioral and emotional challenges. Ability to set up and participate in activities that may include squatting, bending, or lifting.
      • Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Knowledge of Microsoft Office; CPR certification; Basic first aid. A Valid driver’s license is required.
